Cicero Bright & Fun Backyard Wedding // Mackenzie & Casey

"Nothing can bring a real sense of security into a home except true love." // Billy Graham

My most favorite thing about Mackenzie and Casey's wedding is it started at home. Held on Mackenzie's parents property, where the couple spent a lot of their time. The couple exchanged vows on the bride's parents' front porch surrounded by 200 of their closest family and friends. Yes, two. hundred. Trust me, if you knew this amazing couple, you would understand why 200 people would want to see them tie the knot. They're the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met.

After their ceremony everyone joined for a tented reception in the backyard with food, music and dancing. It was definitely a fun time!

Mackenzie's paper goods were so fun and sweet. I loooooooved the bags that had their program AND were filled with confetti to throw as the walked back up the aisle. Seriously, multi-purpose and super cute.

Also, let's talk about Mackenzie's details. First, 10 Points to Casey for that ring. Secondly, her dress? Seriously? I die!! That lace and the train! Also, she's a girl after my own heart wearing comfortable shoes. Stephanie got some big heart eyes when she saw that they were Vans.

This wedding was extremely special to me as a business owner because it was the first time my whole team was assembled together for one wedding. Ashley and Josie did a killer job on hair and makeup for Mackenzie and all of her bridesmaids! I love this shot of Mackenzie's dress while Ashley does her makeup.

Mackenzie and her family tried to do as many things DIY as possible. When I found out her flowers were completely DIY by her and her aunt I was floored! I loved her bouquet! It looked so beautiful!

Also, the award for the coolest groom shoes I've seen goes to Casey. I thought these were pretty awesome! Even if Casey said they weren't very comfortable.

When it came time for their portraits I was so excited. Her family had a beautiful property plus her neighbors were super cool and we were allowed to walk all over their land as well!

Remember when I said Ashley killed it on Mackenzie's hair?! I loved this big, loose, curly up-do that Ashley did. She really is awesome. There's a reason why I work with her! Also, I told you that dress was gorgeous!

Mackezenzie + Casey had one heck of a wedding party! All of the ladies were fabulous looking thanks to our stylists and the guys were killing me! It was "National Talk Like A Pirate Day" so the guys all had eye patches, flags, and hooks to carry around that afternoon. We had to document it. It was necessary. Plus their super cool, DIY, baseball boutonniéres! I loved them! Super unique and fun!

Despite the early morning and nigh before rain the sun came out and shined bright as Mackenzie walked down the aisle. Y'all know how I feel about Dad's walking their girls down the aisle and this wedding was no different. Mackenzie's Dad was super hilarious and fun. You can tell how proud he was of his baby girl! After the ceremony everyone threw the confetti in their baggie-programs and it was a totally perfect exit for a totally perfect couple.

I loved all of the bright colors at their reception. Mackenzie made just about everything when it came to decorations! It looked fantastic!

First dances are pretty much my most favorite part of the reception. It's a moment between the bride and groom that I just love and I really enjoy documenting. Especially when the bride and groom have a sweet moment like this. Plus, Mackenzie and her fun dad did a non-traditional first dance and broke. it. down. on the dance floor together. Totally great!

After the first dances and dinner we ran across a field and went to take some sunset photos. Sunset was quite pretty that night but it was even more stellar with these two and some yellow smoke bombs! I had left overs from Lindsey + Eric's wedding so we decided to use them at Mackenzie + Casey's wedding! Totally different effect, but still so cool!

Thank you so much Mackenzie + Casey for having myself and my entire team at your special day! Not only that, but you allowed my videographer to come and film my promo video at your wedding as well! You guys seriously are the sweetest people ever and I had a blast working with you and meeting your families! I wish you both all of the best in the world as you start your lives together! Thank you again!
