Zionsville Fall Engagement Session // Cara & Nick

Brisk air, fall colors, a sweet pup, and an adorable couple in love.

Last fall I had got to have a blast in the cold Midwestern air photographing two amazing people! I figured before I blog Cara + Nick’s wedding from last Saturday I would share their engagement session on the blog! First, they’re just too adorable to NOT share the blog. Secondly, its a nice way to reminisce on our first meeting last year before we look at their full wedding blog!

So there’s not MUCH to talk about because I’m gonna have PLENTY to say about these two tomorrow but I’m so excited to show you how adorable these two are.

I had never worked in Downtown Zionsville before I worked with Cara + Nick for their engagement session and oh. my. goodness. it is just the most adorable little town. With all the little alley ways, brick, and the fall leaves I was 100% in fall photo heaven.

So... disclaimer here... I have been working on trying to perfect and NAIL the “laying down” photo with my clients. For one reason or another it has never worked... until now. Cara + Nick NAILED the laying down photo. Like flippin’ pros.

These two are just the absolute cutest. I loved how much they were able to open up and snuggle and be cute in front of my lens. Plus, a semi-silhouetted black and white in an alleyway.... heart eyes for days.

After we finished up in Downtown Zionsville we met Nick’s mom and their sweet pup at Lion’s Park. They did a quick costume change and we went at it. Unfortunately it was SO flippin’ windy we couldn’t spend very much time there because it was almost un-workable.

So after a quick little bit at Lions Park we went back to Nick’s parents’ house. And with the trees, the house, and the change of locale the wind was much better.

Can we just take one minute to talk about how beautiful Cara is... how handsome Nick is... and what a perfect job Ashley did on Cara’s hair and makeup! Cara’s not a big makeup and hair girl so she wanted a more natural look which I felt like Ashley totally knocked out of the park! She looked gorgeous! We finished up the session walking through the trees and seeking the leaves at Nick’s parents’ property it was absolutely perfect!
