State Fair Mini Sessions // 2015

Sunsets, ferris wheels, & elephant ears... OH MY!

All of the most amazing things can always be found every summer at The Indiana State Fair. While you may be able to find those things somewhere else, to me, nothing compares to the fair. I remember as a kid always being super excited to go to the State Fair with my grandma. Every time I go back I get this warm sense of feeling like I'm at home. So it was only logical that when I held summer mini sessions they would be at the State Fair. I loved it so much that I can't wait to offer them again this year!!

One of my first clients that day was some old college friends of mine plus their sassy little two year old, Cooper! They were so much fun and I enjoyed all of Coop's fun and sassy faces! I hope to work with them again soon!

This is one of my most favorite photos from the session. Being a Mama of a little boy (actually only a couple months older than Coop!) I get all the feels when I see photos like these, even more so when I get to capture them!

So I think we established that Coop is a sassy two year old. (Aren't they all?! I know mine is!) Coop was getting a little fed up with photos so Ashley gave him her sunglasses. Theeeeeeen he didn't want to take them off. I love these photos because they 100% capture him exactly how he is, right now. Today. When Ashley + Justin look back at these photos of Cooper in a decade they will remember their hilariously sassy little boy who just had to wear Mommy's sunglasses during their photo session. Which is perfect for me. Because the best thing about kids is all of the funny little quirks and weird things they do, and sometimes we forget all of those weird quirks. But the Siebs will never forget that day at The State Fair when Cooper just couldn't get by without Mama's sunglasses. And I feel honored to be part of that.

We finished up their session with the carousel. A lovely family photo and one happy toddler riding on an up and down horsey!

After I photographed the lovely Siebs I got the chance to meet some new people and photograph their engagement photos at The State Fair. I've been wanting to photograph an engagement session at the fair and this was a wonderfully perfect opportunity! Kristina + Alex were super fun and I loved her vintage look! Y'all should know I'm a sucker for a vintage look!

These two were so sweet! Plus, I was pretty crazy about Kristina's dress!

Kristina wanted to use cotton candy for some fun photos! It worked out perfectly that the sun was setting right behind the cotton candy stand. And she let me put her ring in the cotton candy for a cute detail shot.. I do love me a good detail shot!

My last session of the day were some old clients of mine, Laura + Jon. Despite Jon's distaste for photos he stuck it out for us and took some sweet photos with his adorable wife.

At least Jon was able to get some cotton candy out of the deal!!

We finished up their session in front of the swings. Because, who doesn't like the swings?!
