Downtown Indianapolis Mass Avenue Sunset Engagement // Jenny & John
THAT ONE TIME I FOUND MY SOUL SISTER AT AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION.
A couple Sunday's ago I had the distinct pleasure of walking around downtown Indianapolis at sunset with Jenny + John. Aside from enjoy the urban sites of our lovely city and capturing some pretty wicked photos; I think I made a new best friend. Both Jenny + John are so awesome but I'm pretty sure Jenny + I are cut from the same cloth. She's pretty incredible, I know why John is so in love with her.
One of the first things I saw when we were walking around was this beautiful tree with the sunlight shining through the flowers. It was pretty damn amazing.
Because we're tourists in our own city AND we were on Mass Ave. it was only natural we posed for the "I Am Indy" campaign. Coincidentally, they're some of Jenny's favorites. #Boom.
Ashley did a killer job on hair and makeup and Jenny was adventurous and willing to do a fun green eyeshadow. Because she's kind of a baller. And John was looking awful handsome posin' it up for me. Guys usually look at me like I have three heads when I ask them for an individual photo, but John was up for it. And know awkward glares in sight!
The only thing I love more than cool murals with happy couples is sunsets with loving couples on bikes. Yep. I definitely love that just a weeeeee bit more.
We did a quick costume change and snuck in some super cool photos of them in this alley and on this wicked wall. I loved it. Love love loved it. I was going to skip the alley shots because we were running out of sunlight but as we were walking to the car I just couldn't resist it! In case you were wondering, totally worth it. Luckily, we still had time to race to the top of the parking garage and snag some sunset photos with the Lucas Oil Stadium and Union Station, where they're going to get married, in the background. I also may or may not have sat on top of my car in order to get some of these shots. May or may not.
Mmmm, silhouette... Y'all know how I feel about silhouettes.
The last photo we took of the evening almost didn't happen. As I was walking back to my car I was like, "Oh my god, you guys, that skyline. We have to take one more photo!" And they happily obliged. Because they're awesome people and like I said, Jenny is my soul sister.
Thank you Jenny + John for allowing me to take your engagement photos and spending the evening with me. It was so wonderful getting to know you better and I so can't wait for your wedding at Union Station in October. I can't wait for the soul sisters to be reunited so we can make John think, "Oh dear god, what have I gotten myself into!?" Hehe. You guys rock. I can't wait til we see each other again.
