Indianapolis Willows on Westfield Wedding // Julie & John
OH, THIS SWEET COUPLE...
Julie + John were the sweetest couple who spent their day surrounded by close family and friends while they joined their two families together. We spent a lovely day at Ado salon and then celebrated at their ceremony and reception location of The Lodge at The Willows Riverwalk in Broad Ripple.
I knew it would be a lovely day when it was coordinated by Sarah Cooper of Cooper Events. So when Sarah contacted me needing a photographer for Julie + John's wedding merely 7 weeks prior I was happy to help photograph it and so glad I was available!
Julie had such sweet details. When I told Julie I wanted her details she told me, "Well okay but my shoes are kind of lame." But when I saw her sparkly sandals I totally disagreed! I love a good simple sparkly sandal. Well, to be honest, I just really love sandals. Not to mention, her Tiffany's dangle earrings and perfume! Seriously. Tiffany's?! Yes, please.
Plus, the belt on her dress was probably one of my favorites in a long while. I loved how her sister helped her get dressed for her special day.
The flowers by Wild Heart Blooms were so pretty. It's so funny because I know jack squat about florals but I am a SUCKER for good florals at a wedding. Don't ask me to arrange your flowers at home cause I know nothing about that biz. Leave that to a professional. I can, however, photograph your at home florals if you'd like.
For Julie + John's first look I decided to do something a little diffrent. Typically the bride walks up to the groom. But I like to flip things on it's ear so I decided that I was going to have John walk up to Julie. And it was perfect. I love the look on his face when he sees his bride for the first time.
Julie + John's little bridal party was so sweet and fun. The guys were definitely a fun group of gentlemen and Julie's maids most certainly loved her to pieces.
Of course, the bling.
As always Classic Cakes did a beautiful job on their cake. Beautifully simple, all white, cake with flowers on top. I felt it matched the style of their wedding perfectly.
More flowers by Wild Heart Blooms for the ceremony & reception centerpieces.
Julie's kids were a big part of the wedding. I love how her kids were the ones to walk her down the aisle. It was perfect.
First dances, you guys know I'm a sucker for them. I love their expressions during their moments together after they've wed. Not to mention the expressions of their parents during family dances! C'mon, her dad?! Seriously.
Last photo of the night! Julie wanted photos on the deck and when we went out to get photos it was raining! I thought it was so cool how the rain was falling while they were safe and dry on the deck. Mother Nature being a baller for some pictures, once again.
Thank you Julie + John for allowing me to spend your special day with you! It was a wonderful day and I am truly honored to witness your union. I hope you enjoy all the rest of your life has to offer you. I know your life together will be incredible.
