Cait + Colin :: Indianapolis DIY Wedding
SO I HAVE THIS THING FOR DIY...
I love it. I love being crafty and creative. But Cait, she brings it to a whole new level. If you remeber my super cute couple from a few months back, Cait + Colin, with their adorable camping themed enagement.
So anyways, being an art school grad, crafty with a sewing machine, and super imaginative you have to know that Cait + Colin's wedding was super adorably DIY'd to the max, in all the best ways!
They did a first look and I looooove Cait's natural amazing smile when she sees her man for the first time. Adorable!
I absolutely LOVED her tea length lace dress. It totally fit Cait's style and the style of their day.
Oh and that beautiful bouquet of Cait's... DIY. Yeah. This girl is redic.
Cait is a girl after my own heart because she picked my favvvvorite color for her wedding color scheme. MINT GREEN! Yes, I photo girled out over it. I got pretty pumped.
DIY touch here? The lace is from her mom's wedding dress. Clever girl.
They were married in the courtyard area of the Community Life Center in Indianapolis. Where they have this wicked tower with the biggest chandelier I've ever seen in my life. Folks, this this was enormous.
They are one good looking couple. Just saying.
DIY touch? Boutineer... yeah those were handmade too.
Cait had such a lovely ecclectic bridal party. I love that she allowed her bridesmaids to pick whatever dresses (or not dresses!) they wanted as long as it fit the color scheme. Too often brides don't trust their bridesmaids to look awesome but these girls looked GREAT!
DIY touch? Little Gia's hair flowers. Yep, Cait-made!
These guys were just a riot! They sure knew how to have a good time!
Can you guess the DIY touch here? Yep, that pillow! She's pretty rediculous.
Cait's twin brother LEARNED to play the ukele just for her and Colin's wedding. (I'm telling you this is a family of talented people!) He played "Over the Rainbow" while the wedding party made their appearance down the aisle.
Cait + Colin wrote their vows in poem form. And Colin went the extra mile and made an anagrammatic or acrostic poem that spelled out "Caitlin." AND it rhymed!
At the reception they had adorable hand written "Bride + Groom" chair signs. I wish I could write pretty like that! Instead I'll just take pretty photos of the writing!
Handmade caramels in a handmade box.
And yes, in case you were wondering, they were delicious.
They shared a sweet first dance surrounded by family, friends, and BUBBLES!
